Anne is a member of Euro-Toques, the European Community of Cooks, who promote the use of naturally produced ingredients in their cooking, letting the Irish food speak for itself. Anne taught Gourmet Cooking in Canada and here at Mornington. Now she cooks for her guests.

Warwick is 'breakfast cook' and guests speak highly of his delicious breakfasts. Guests gather in the Drawing Room before dinner. It is an opportunity to meet fellow guests, perhaps compare travel notes, and indeed sometimes it is the beginning of new friendships. Dinner is served in the Dining Room around the large oak dining table.

Wherever possible we use fruit and vegetables in season from our walled garden, together with produce from the gardens of friends. The apple trees and fruit bushes were planted by earlier generations. Guests can savour the flavour of freshly picked apples, so very different from those of those available in stores today. Warwick's Irish Guinness stew is a favourite among guests.

We support our local food suppliers. Westmeath, in particular Mullingar, is renowned for it’s superb beef.

Vegetarians are particularly welcome, but please let us know in advance of your requirements. We also have a wine licence, and a modest, but well-chosen wine list.
