Fenns Quay Restaurant is situated in the heart of Cork City, adjacent to the famous Couthouse. Our philosophy is simple, we use only the best produce from the best local suplliers and treat it with care and attention to detail.

Opening Times: Open Monday to Saturday inclusive 8am till late with breakfast, lunch and Dinner menus.

More About Fenns Quay Restaurant

Kate Lawlor along with her cousin Kevin Crowley and his partner Pennapa Wongsuwan took over the running of Fenn's Quay restaurant in the summer of 2008 from the original owners Pat and Eilish O'Leary.

Kate Lawlor has been part of the kitchen team at Fenn's Quay since 2001 when the then Head-Chef Brenda harrington recruited her. Kate then worked her way through the ranks of the cork city restaurant to become Head Chef in 2006.

Kate has had an extensive culinary education. In 1998 after completeing her leaving cert she began the Failte Ireland professional cookery course in C.I.T and shortly after started working part time in the Carrigaline Court Hotel. Kate got involved in the culinary team at C.I.T which went on to represent Ireland in the Silver Whisk Competition winning second place in best hotel school in Europe.

After completeing the two year course at C.I.T Kate won a scholarship to study in Johnson and Wales University, Providence, Rhode Island USA. In 2007 Kate returned to C.I.T to take a degree course in culinary arts which she completed in the summer of 2009.

Kevin and Pennapa both have extensive experience in the hospitality industry.
Pennapa originally from Thailand has been living in Ireland since 1999. She has worked in the award winning Renvyle House Hotel in Galway aswell as the Metropole Hotel in Cork City.But her love for Cork and the people of Cork came from her long duration working in Scoozi's restaurant on Winthrop Avenue Cork City.

Kevin has been working in the restaurant trade since 2001 and has developed a passion for wine in that time. He has passed his WSET Intermediate course with Honours and he brings a new found enthusiam to the wine program at Fenns Quay.
